The Beluga is a small motor vessel with space for up to 16 guests. With panoramic windows in the salon and great deck space, Beluga is a fantastic way to cruise the islands in speed and style. Each cabin has their own private bathroom equipped with hot & cold-water showers. Beluga is fully air conditioned, and is surprisingly spacious inside with two bilge keels which are used to reduce movement of the yacht whilst sailing and offers all the comforts and facilities of a first-class motor yacht. The yacht is operated by a fantastic local company and works with very good naturalists and crew. Enjoy your time on board in the spacious sundeck or relax in the shade of the top deck while cruising between the islands. The Beluga has been awarded the "Smart Voyager Certification" for adhering to conservation standards. Beluga also complies with all international maritime regulations and is SOLAS certified.

Itinerary

The Beluga has two excellent itineraries available as a 6-day or 8-day option. In terms of which itinerary we think is the best - they are equally fantastic! However if you have a particular interest in birds or reptiles and depending on the time of year of your visit, one could have the edge over the other – but we can help advise on this.

Beluga - 6 days - Hood - Central, Southern, Eastern and Northern

One of the best 6 day itineraries available on any yacht! True particularly from April through June – as it includes both Genovesa and Española, the remote outpost islands which are the most spectacular at this time of year when the seabirds are courting at their most intense. It is a great itinerary any time of the year with a superb mix of islands and Galapagos wildlife, and fascinating geological scenery, with pristine white beaches and great snorkeling.

Beluga - 6 Days - Isabela - Central and Western

The western islands have a pristine untouched quality, which is most evident as you sail along the western coast of Isabela and through the narrow Bolivar Channel separating the Island from Fernandina. The western islands receive a double dose of upwelling (from both the Humboldt and Cromwell Currents) and as a result there is cool nutrient rich water, which makes for abundant marine life, in the form of Penguins, Flightless Cormorants, Marine Iguanas and Whales… not to mention the sea birds, sea lions and the other amazing Galapagos wildlife which thrive here. Going on deck at night and seeing the numerous large bioluminescent particles is quite an experience.
