This stylish low rise hotel has its own private sand beach in a quiet location where only pedestrians and cycles are allowed. The hotel is only accessible by boat, a short water taxi ride from Puerto Ayora on Santa Cruz Island. Surrounded by mangroves, with marine iguanas and sally light foot crabs frequent visitors to the beach it is a relaxing environment. With a capacity for 42 guests with 21 twin-bedded rooms, the hotel is run by Ecuador’s largest travel company Metropolitan Touring, but is run with a conscience and has been designed to operate in an environmentally sensitive way. 21 Premium Rooms and 6 new Ocean View Rooms. The Ocean View rooms, 2 have a kingsize bed, the other four are doubles with 2 twin beds. The Premium rooms are 17 doubles with twin beds and 4 rooms with kingsize beds. All have air conditioning, private bathroom, hot water and hair driers.
Restaurant serves excellent international and local cuisine, with a fantastic buffet breakfast (including bacon, sausages, pancakes, waffles, fresh fruit juices, toast, eggs, cheeses, omelette to name but a few!) There is an indoor and outdoor bar next to the pool.
The hotel offers a range of activities including sea kayaking, scuba diving, mountain biking and hiking. You are very close to a lovely sandy beach and tidal lagoons, cliffs and cactus forests where many of Darwin’s finches and other wildlife can be found. The Charles Darwin Research Station is also nearby.
