Kayaking at Itabaca Channel, Santa Cruz Island. (Half a day)

Itinerary

Kyaking Dy TripThis half day tour will take you driving across the highlands of Santa Cruz Island to Itabaca Channel, located between Santa Cruz and Baltra Islands. The channel is perfect for kayaking with calm waters and very little wind. Small groups of sea lions are often seen along the shorelines of Baltra and Santa Cruz and in shallow areas you may see white-tipped reef sharks from your kayak.

Kyaking Dy TripAfter breakfast you will be picked up from your hotel and will drive across the highlands of Santa Cruz Island to the Itabaca channel, located between Santa Cruz and Baltra Islands. The channel offers exceptional conditions for Kayaking; calm waters and very little wind. The journey will take you through different environments, including mangroves where pelicans and herons perch and rocky cliffs where you will see blue-footed boobies, brown noddies, gulls, herons and shearwaters.

Small groups of sea lions are often seen along the shorelines of Baltra and Santa Cruz and in shallow areas you may see White-tipped reef sharks from your kayak. A small boat will be following the group at all times in case someone needs assistance or gets tired.
